ELIZABETH MOSSOP is Professor of Landscape Architecture and Director of the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at Louisiana State University.  Prior to taking up this position in 2004, she was Associate Professor and Director of Masters in Landscape Architecture Programs in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design where she was a faculty member from 1999. Prior to this she was Director of the Landscape Architecture Program at the University of New South Wales in Sydney. Her teaching and research focus on issues in contemporary landscape design, urbanism and infrastructure. Spackman Mossop Michaels landscape architects specializes in the design of the public landscape, parks, urban spaces and infrastructure in Australia and the US. Their work has been recognized by numerous awards, including the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Award of Excellence in Analysis and Planning in 2008 and 2009, the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects, the Council of Building Design Professions, the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and the Australia Council.
